Avalonia is located in the Shenandoah Valley on a wooded mountain side amidst magnificent rock formations. It is within easy driving distance to and from Washington D.C. 

The Avalonia Peace Village with its Meditation Gardens is a natural refuge within a powerful healing environment for Body, Mind, and Spirit & Soul. Tipis and Yurts will provide comfortable shelter for a short or longer stay. The entrance to the Peace Village is graced by a 6-sided Peace Pole stating in 6 languages: “May Peace Prevail on Earth". The Peace Pole welcomes all who visit Avalonia. 

The area in its entirety is also a vortex and within it is a particular rock formation termed a Grail Grid, which is also known as a Lotus Cell and serves as a magnet for divine wisdom. It aims to inspire a greater awareness within each person and thereby serves the “Real Earth” or what is termed “New Earth.” Spirit guided us to this mountain side and in turn the spirit of this mountain and vortex guides activities and all plans concerning its natural environment. And so it inspired the Nature Retreat & Peace Village as being least intrusive to its atmosphere and wild life. 

This naturally secluded healing environment easily revives the imagination and stimulates inner peace and harmony. An ideal environment to finish those last chapters of the book or simply to find the greater self from within. 

The entire Nature Sanctuary provides a Safe Haven for the Healing Arts for Self Transformation and Personal Freedom within an environment inspiring an “ever expanding reverence of all Life”. With careful landscaping, while maintaining the natural habitat, we aim at turning the woods into an open-air classroom with pathways leading to certain key points dedicated for relaxation and mediation. Each area is to commemorate notable individuals who have done most to preserve our earth, the environment and the most noted Peace Makers of our time. 

The goal is for the Avalonia Peace Village to function as a Mini Retreat for rest, recuperation and also offer programs on sustainable living, practical spirituality as well as the practice of peace and harmony.
